What Are the Requirements and Documents for Renting an Electric Car?

Electric Car Rental Conditions — Self-Drive

1. Minimum rental period: 1 day
   A rental day is calculated as 24 hours. For example, picking up the vehicle at 10:00 AM on June 1 and returning it at 10:00 AM on June 2 is considered 1 rental day.

   • Late return charge: THB 535/hour

   • More than 5 hours late will be charged as 1 additional rental day

2. Extending the Rental Period
   Customers wishing to extend the rental must notify the company at least 6 hours in advance and pay the additional rental fee immediately.

3. EV Charging Before Returning the Vehicle

   • Vehicle provided with a “full charge” / vehicle must be returned with a “full charge”

   • If the customer is unable to recharge the vehicle before returning it, a THB 535 service fee will apply, plus the actual electricity cost

4. Car Insurance

   • Every vehicle includes First-Class Car Insurance

   • Loss-of-use charges are not included

   • Customers may purchase additional SCDW insurance to receive 100% of their deposit back, subject to the applicable conditions

   • Daily: THB 535–856/day

   • Monthly: THB 10,700–16,050/month

5. Smoking inside the vehicle: Fine of THB 3,210

6. Bringing pets into the vehicle without a carrier or without prior notification: THB 1,070

7. Leaving the key locked inside the vehicle: Fine of THB 3,210 plus staff travel expenses based on distance

8. Lost vehicle key: Fine starting from THB 10,700

9. Vehicles may not be driven outside Thailand

10. Vehicles may not be pledged, pawned, or sub-rented to another party

• Company registration certificate issued within the past 3 months

The following additional documents are required:

• Power of Attorney stating authorization to:

  2. Receive and use the rental vehicle
